Dissertation Title:
To be announced

Personal Statement:
My main research interest is the integration of multiple land
uses for successful nature conservation in fragmented,
human-dominated landscapes. In my doctoral research I will explore a
few aspects of this question, using government protected areas as a
focal point. My broad objective is to study the effects of biotic,
abiotic and anthropogenic factors in selected national parks of
Bangladesh. I am considering a study to understand how the
management of NTFP species utilized by local communities living in
and around national parks affects forest structure, function, and
habitat for wildlife.
