Plants in the Mint Family like Coleus have Square Stems that have large Vascular Bundles in each corner.

Dicot Stems have three Zones (Epidermis - Cortex - Pith).

The Epidermis is the Surface Layer.

The Cortex is the area of the Ground Tissue OUTSIDE the perimeter of the Vascular Bundles.

The Pith is the area of Ground Tissue INSIDE the perimeter of the Vascular Bundles.
