Vascular Bundles may also contain Bundles of Fibers. These are usually associated with the Phloem and may be called Phloem Fibers. They are commonly known as Bast Fibers. The Fibers in hau and Flax are Bast Fibers. It is easy to distinguish between the Phloem and Phloem Fibers & between the Xylem & Phloem Fibers. The Phloem lies between them.
