Thumbnail Images

It is often important to create small "Thumbnail" Images. These can be linked at a later date to larger images which are displayed when you click on their Thumbnails.

This is important for the design of WebPages because images take a long time to be transmitted, especially over telephone-modem connections.

Some Webpage editors like FrontPage can automatically make linked thumbnails from large images. However, in my experience with FrontPage 98, these Thumbnails are often blurry.

Consequently, SizeImage-2LabCroq.jpg (52808 bytes)you may want to make your Thumbnails in Photoshop and label such files by adding TN to their file names (i.e. ImagexTN.jpg).

A good size for
Thumbnails
is approximately 125 Pixels in Width. To do this Click  Image -> Image Size.

Change the Value in the Width Box (1040) to 125 & Click OK!
