Click File -> Save a Copy...

If you save the image as a *.tif, *.bmp or *.jpg file, all of the Layers will be combined so that they can NOT be edited individually in the future.

You can modify these images but the changes will affect
all the components of
that image, including
TEXT & ARROWS.SaveCopy2Lab.jpg (125625 bytes)

If you are NOT ready to decide the exact SIZE of your image, store it as a
*.tif or *.bmp file.

These retain all of the image data.

You will eventually want to save your image as a *.jpg file but you will need to specify the final size at that time.

JPEG is a process that compresses images by taking a sample and storing it as a *.jpg file. The image is reconstituted from the sample file. However, some data is lost in this process. If this process is repeated several times, the image is degraded.

Consequently, it is best to use JPEG compression as a last step in this process!
