It is often beneficial to enclose Text in Boxes. This helps to separate it from the underlying image.

Unfortunately, Adobe has made this operation a bit obscure. However, Professor Bifflebaffle has decided to show us how this is done.He is going to use an image of his favorite flower, the Tulip.

1] Select the Marquee Tool

2] Drag the Mouse to create the Outline of the Box

3] Select Edit -> Stroke

4] Set the width & Click OK!

5] The perimeter lines are drawn BUT The dashed line is present.

6] Choose Select ->None & the Dashed Line Disappears!
