Entering Text

Start typing at the Blinking Cursor

Select text by Dragging with the Mouse

Increase its Size by Clicking the Big A

in the Tool Bar.

Each Click Increases the Font by 1 Point.

Click the Little A to Decrease Font Size.

There are some additional Font items to consider.

Look at the lower left side of the Tool Bar to find the
Text Style & Font Boxes

Click on the Button in the Box that says Normal to see the available Text Styles.

Let's use Normal for Now!

Click on Normal !!

Click on the Button in the Font Box

There will be a list of Fonts Galore.

It is best to use a simple, easy to read font like Arial for Now.

Arial Black is good for Labeling

Click on Arial and the Box should appear as above.

Now we will type something profound !

You can Increase or Decrease the font size or make it BOLD, Italic or Underlined by selecting the text and clicking on the appropriate buttons in the Toolbar.

Select a line of text by dragging it with the mouse.

Click the Button in the Style box.

Select Heading 1 and watch what happens to the text.

Experiment with the other Styles!

Click on Format in the Uppermost Toolbar & a Drop Menu will appear.

Click on Font and another Drop menu will appear.

You can use this menu to select the Font Type, Style, Size, Effects, Color and also Observe Sample Text.
