A Tally is simply a count of how many items of a certain type are present in the image. You may have noticed that as you made measurements with Sigma Scan, it recorded them cumulatively in the worksheet. Consequently, a tally was automatically generated.

However, sometimes only a tally is required and Sigma Scan has a separate command for this function. It is possible to generate several tallies from one image.
