This governs the choice of the Explants you take and the  protocols you may use!

You may only be interested in Epidermal or Surface traits or Gross Anatomy.You may be interested in Secretory Structures which can be external or internal.You may want to study fine structural details at the light microscope level. You may be interested in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) or Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).
