Examine a Demo Slide of a Leucaena Flower & identify the Sepals, Petals, Stamens & Ovary (Pericarp & Ovules).
Examine Mature Examples of a Legume Fruit. Locate the Stigma & identify the Ovules, Placenta & Pericarp. ?
Examine long sections and cross sections of a Legume Ovary and locate the Ovules & Pericarp. Look for Vascular Bundles in the
cross section.
Dissect a hydrated Legume Seed & Locate the Cotyledon, Plumule, Hypocotyl & Root (Radicle).
Observe Demo of a dissected Castorbean Seed Stained with Sudan. It has a prominent Endosperm & paper thin Cotyledons. Compare with the Legume Seed you dissected.
