The Plasmalemma is pressed against the cell wall & is
hard to resolve in many pictures. This is a "glancing" section cut at an oblique
angle to the surface. The cell Wall contains thread-like structures

The Plasmalemmas of adjacent cells are continuous via Plasmodesmata
in the walls. The plasmalemma is clearly seen in the lower left cell where it meets the
cell wall.
