Septoria leaf spot diseases of ‘ohelo

formally described, these diseases appear to be associated with two distinct species of Septoria.We have described defoliating leaf spot diseases of the shrub ‘ohelo (Vaccinium reticulatum) and the closely related tree ‘ohelo (V. calycinum) caused by apparently different species of Septoria (Gardner and Hodges, 1988). The Septoria spp. are probably new species, but have not yet been formally described as such.

spot on tree ‘ohelo. Leaf spots coalesce to form irregular necrotic blotches.
