Axonopus fissifolius (Raddi) Kuhlm.
narrow-leaved carpetgrass
Poaceae

This short statured grass invades disturbed habitats in wet mountainous areas. It appears to be allelopathic since no other vegetation grows up through the carpet of grass. Its fire tolerance is unknown. It has not been evaluated for biological control.

There are major infestations along the summit of the Koolau Mountains, Oahu.
