A. grayanum	Natural Hybrid	D. waianapanapaensis

This is a rare hybrid combination occurring in very low numbers in the upper Hana Rainforest of E Maui.  The hybrid plant in the left photo was grown in cultivation from a cutting taken from the field.  Pollen stainability in this hybrid was 14%.  The maximum chromosome pairing configuration at meiosis is 8_II + 2M₄ + 1M₃.
