Architectural & Panoramic Scenes

The thumbnail below is from a mosaic picture taken with six exposures.  A tripod with a Kaidan panoramic head was used.  The compositing was done with PhotoVista.  The individual images were taken with the 1600 x 1200 resolution and the camera held vertically (with the 1200 axis being the image width).  After they were put together into a single image, the panoramic view was cropped.  The resulting composite image is 3624 x 1503 pixels.  It has been tone balanced and sharpened in Micrografx Picture Publisher 8.  This thumbnail was reduced to 22% of the original size and sharpened.  The view is from my living room window, with Honolulu harbor on the left and Punchbowl crater on the right.  Be prepared if you click on this image. The full sized image that will be retrieved is 16 mb (uncompressed) and 1.5 mb compressed.

The East-West Center Jefferson Hall.  If you click on this thumbnail image you will get the 1600 x 1200 pixel original image.  The original has been slightly enhanced with tone balancing.
This view of Royal Capital Plaza (the building used in the panoramic image above) came from an original that was 1600 x 1200.  Like most of the other outdoor pictures, it was taken without a tripod.  The original image was tone balanced and sharpened.  The image that is retrieved if you click on this thumbnail is 800 x 600 pixels.  It was sharpened after resizing and the contrast and brightness were adjusted slightly.  This thumbnail was reduced to 400 x 300 pixels.
