The Dean Conklin Plumeria Grove is part of the Honolulu Botanical Gardens system.  It is located in Koko Crater along the eastern side of Oahu.  It isn't easy to find; use the driving instructions listed on John Murray's page and the Expedia street map.

The plumeria trees surround the entrance to the garden and extend along the trail that lead to the creater.  You can see in the panoramic photo below that the trees are planted close to each other.  This is a well-maintained, although somewhat incompletely labeled, collection.

The end of April appears to be a peak flowering time for these trees.  Most were full of flowers on this day, much as they were just a year earlier.

The photos that follow are a simple attempt to show some of the variety displayed in the garden.  If you have critical concerns about the identification, you should contact the garden staff directly (808-522-7060).

The accession number shown below each flower is from a sign adjacent to the tree or from a tag attached to the tree.  The name comes from either the tree sign or John Murray's accession list.  Warning: the names given here are not authoritative!
