Lei Day 2004

There has been a Lei Day contest in Honolulu each May 1st since 1928.  These contests are now sponsored by the City and County of Honolulu.

The entries show the fine skills of the lei makers.  Entries are judged within a number of categories.

The lei on the immediate right is the
Mayor's Grand Prize Winner.

Each lei is identified by the Lei Maker
and the materials used.  This information
is shown below for this overall winner.

Lei makers have become very creative
in their selection of materials.
