Project 1: Email

General Objectives

Email is the way we communicate with people we can't see face-to-face or get on the phone.  It is rapidly replacing "snail mail" for personal correspondence.  There are many limitation in this medium, but a knowledge of some of the subtle possibilities greatly increases its effectiveness.  You also need to be good at some of the "big" things, like proper addressing and adding attachments.

Prerequisites

• Basic knowledge of word processing
• An email account (such as hotmail or AOL)
• Experience doing basic email

You will also need to work through the Email lecture.  You can get a link to the text and graphics on the syllabus.  This lecture provides important background information that you will need to complete the following assignments.
