"He ali'i ka 'aina, he kauwa ke kanaka." The land is chief, the people are its servants.
Welcome to the Ethnobiology Society at UH Manoa!
We are a diverse group of students interested in the complex interactions between people and all other aspects of nature.
Our activies include: workshops, speakers, potluck gatherings, volunteer days at Lyon Arboretum, interpretive hikes, and much more.
Each semester we visit a neighbor island to participate in service learning projects. Past trips include Kaho`olawe with PKO, `Iao Valley Nature Center on Maui, and Limahuli Garden on Kaua`i. This semester we're going to Amy Greenwell Gardens on Big Island.
