Representatives
Elections for these positions are held annually
at the end of the fall term.
Botany Grad Representatives
Courtney Angelo (cangelo@hawaii.edu), Jennifer Bufford (jbufford@hawaii.edu), and Daniela Dutra (ddutra@hawaii.edu) are
our current grad reps. They attend faculty meetings and represent
the Botany student body interests in departmental decisions
and work to improve communication between students,
staff, and faculty. Please let them know what can be
done to make this department a better place in which to study
and research! Also, if you are interested in helping organize
activities, contact them!
GSO Representative
Joanne Birch (jbirch@hawaii.edu) is the current UH Graduate Student
Organization representative from Botany, and Lara Reynolds (lreynold@hawaii.edu) is the Alternate GSO rep. Her representation
allows Botany grad students to be eligible for travel grants
and funding opportunities offered by the GSO. She is the
interface between Botany grad students and the UH grad
student body, so for decisions regarding general grad student
affairs, contact Joanne.
