Botany Facilities

Digital Darkroom
The Digital Darkroom, maintained and managed by Kim Bridges and Han Lau, is located in St. John 406B. To gain access to the facility, contact them directly or email kim@hawaii.edu.
Drying Room
St. John 404 is a room dedicated for drying plant specimens. Presses, blotters, and cardboard are available for borrowing in this room, but you should supply your own newspaper and paper for mounting. When leaving items in the drying racks, label your press with your name and the date. Please make sure to clean up after yourself since these resources are maintained primarily for classes.
Greenhouse
Greenhouse space is available for research. This resource is maintained by users. Contact your supervisor to arrange space as necessary. Curt Daehler and Don Drake may also be able to provide information on access.
Class/Conference Rooms
Reservations for department rooms can be made through secretary or office assistants.

400: a library and conference room available for meetings and small classes. As this is a library and community resource, please clean up food before leaving the room.
007: a classroom equipped with a projector
011: a small lecture hall equipped with projector. To reserve this room, call the Scheduling Office: 6-7953.

Other classrooms in St. John include 402, 152, and 157. Room 402 is generally always open for student use. If the doors are locked, you can sometimes access room 402 through room 404.
