Beatrice Krauss Fellowship Competition
| PURPOSE | This fellowship fund is established in honor of Beatrice Krauss by her friends and associates to acknowledge her many contributions to Hawai`i. It is intended to assist graduate students in Botany with expenses associated with obtaining a graduate level degree. |

| CONDITIONS OF AWARD |
This year it is anticipated that
multiple awards will be made in the range of $500 - $3,000. Funds may be used to cover the cost of tuition, books, fees, supplies, research, and travel associated with the obtaining of the degree. |
| APPLICATION | Applications must be submitted by October 1, 2002, to the Chair, Department of Botany, University of Hawai`i, and should include a description of research goals, a budget and other pertinent details in three pages or less. Applications must be endorsed by a faculty sponsor. |
| NOTIFICATION OF AWARD |
It is anticipated that the recipients of the next Krauss Fellowship awards will be announced by October 31, 2002. |
