Thesis Title:
Hawaiian medicinal plants used in pregnancy and labor

Statement
Aloha kakou, I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii where mymother practiced the art of lomi lomi and herbal medicine. I am an ethnobotany graduate student working specifically with the Hawaiian medicinal herbs. My interests are dealing with plants that have been used and are being used for woman who are pregnant. There are many plants that grow here that aid in the stages from gestation to labor. My research so far will include interviews, literature reviews and voucher specimens.
