Event Details: Help us in a joint effort to remove alien algae from our reefs and educate our local community about this serious threat to Hawaii's unique marine ecosystems. Volunteers will once again be supplied with a light breakfast and lunch, and a mid-morning snack during our break time. In addition, we will be able to provide T-shirts to all of our participants (our apologies that we could not afford them for this last event--the T-shirts that some of you received were actually from our initial, August 24th, 2003 cleanup). For all who are interested in participating, please contact Signe Opheim at The Nature Conservancy (537-4508 ext. 270, or eco@tnc.org). Please spread the word and we hope to see you again. You are the ones who are making a difference in preserving Hawaii’s natural resources! Please wear 'reef walkers' or perhaps some old tennis shoes for foot protection.
