The objectives of this web site are: (1) allow people to have a greater understanding and appreciation of the Hawaiian Islands and (2) document some of Puu Ohia’s plants. This information can then be utilized in the future to monitor the changes in the flora over time.

Grammatical markings of the Hawaiian Language (okina/glottal stop and kahako/macron) were not placed in the text due to the lack of capabilities.
