Pope Lab has laboratory space, chemical storage, working areas, growth chambers and greenhouse benches. There are restrooms with showers.
See Dr. Friend to get a greenhouse bench assignment. There is a sign-up book for month-by-month space allocations. Please label your bench space clearly with your name. Unlabelled material will be thrown away. Unused pots should be put on the rack in the headerhouse and garbage thrown away in the dumpster outside the front of the header house, not in the garbage cans. You are responsible for your own watering and insect control. Insects can be a nasty problem for you and your neighbors, so be considerate. You must also supply your own soil and pots.
These growth chambers are currently undergoing renovation. When done, they will provide space that is shared among a number of departments. For information, contact Dr. Friend (x6704).
A new greenhouse facility has been constructed on the 6th floor of St John adjacent to Dr. Celia Smith's laboratory. This is for marine culture work. A unique feature of this facility is the portable aquarium. This arrangement permits the repositioning of the marine tanks anywhere in the greenhouse.
