Campus Computing Network and Internet

The campus computers are linked by a high-speed fiber-optic network. It is also possible to gain access to the network through dial-up phone lines. A number of computers provide basic network support for activities like e-mail and WWW services.

Public access terminals are found in a number of campus locations, including both PC and Mac labs on the third floor of Keller Hall and the CLIC facility in the basement of Sinclair Library.

Botany graduate students can use several terminals (PC and PowerPC) in StJohn 606; check with either Drs. Morden or Wong. There are also several more machines in the Plant Ecology Laboratory (StJohn 505; check with Dr. Bridges).

Undergraduate majors can use the PC in the Botany Library (StJohn 400; check with Dr. Carr).

There is some access to UH/Manoa computers from the neighbor islands. The communications numbers are not published but may be arranged on a case-by-case basis. See Dr. Bridges.
